FURPOWER works!!

I am seriously amazed. Who knew what kinds of things we could accomplish when cats and dogs and those who luv them got together for a good cause? So many anipals have been generous and supportive of my monthly $1 FURPOWER donation challenge.

And, a couple of dogs and a cat got together recently to come up with a really fun way to
get more Twittering pets and their people involved in donations.

Twitter pals @frugaldougal, @emmythecat and @fergusthedog are encouraging all pets to don their St. Patty's Day hats and donate to the Animals in Distress cause!

Check out the details here: http://frugaldougaldog.blogspot.com/

Thanks to their efforts in raising awareness and the FUN-o-meter, we are now at 47 percent of our monthly goal! Thank you guys. And thank you to everyone who has donated and continues to donate.

Here are some of the hat-wearing pets who have donated so far! THANK YOU!

  2. I saw your story on David Pogue's blog in the NY Times. I have two orange tabby brothers that I rescued in November of 2007. I had just lost a dear furbaby who died 10 days before his 20th birthday and had lived so bravely with CRF for 7 years. I've had a hip replacement and a knee replacement in the last year and since that was so much fun now I'm facing spine surgery. Those 2 orange bundles of fun have taken such good care of me. Only another cat lover could understand how. Many days they are more entertaining than TV! I was so proud to get to your site and found out you were also from NC! This is such a wonderful thing that you have decided to do. I wish you luck in reaching your goal, but I have a feeling that you have set it too low!
